Expedition to the stars
A dream, unfortunately unfulfillable? No not really. With just a small telescope and a camera, we can reach the most remote areas of our galaxy and far beyond. I would like to invite you to undertake this expedition with me and my photographs...
On the way through our cosmic front yard - our Milky Way - we encounter gas nebulae where new stars are formed and marvel at planetary nebulae as evidence of dying stars. Fascinatingly bizarre supernova remnants are reminiscent of the cosmic catastrophes of exploding stars.
Further out, in the galactic halo, we encounter globular star clusters, which are the oldest galactic objects orbiting our Milky Way. Then gigantic emptiness - intergalactic space. At unimaginable distances we finally reach the siblings of our Milky Way, the galaxies that populate the cosmos in myriads.
