The SBIG CFW8 filter wheel can easily be used with a "non-SBIG CCD camera", e.g. a Starlight XPress SXV-H9. The CFW8 is connected directly to the parallel port of the computer and a 12V power supply using a cable (see graphic below). All you need now is a program to control the filter wheel. Since there didn't seem to be a standalone solution for Windows, I decided to close this gap.
